References

Here I have added a few references from happy clients. Due to their right to privacy,  I have withheld their last names & phone numbers. I have the actual written references here and I will show them to you at the interview.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter to inform you of the great services we received from Shayne as a Daycare Provider. Our son is 8 months and Shayne began watching him in September of 2005. She was very flexible with our schedules due to work constraints. Shayne also allowed us some drop-in days to accommodate for extra hours needed.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding Shayne's Daycare, Please feel free to contact us for a referral. Our departure comes at a short time due to a family member being able to provide daycare services for us at a much reduced cost. Outside of a family member watching our son, Shayne would be the only Daycare Provider we would select. My wife and I have spent a great time searching for the right Daycare Provider and Shayne is the only answer.

To Whom It May Concern:

Miss Shayne has been caring for my son as of November 2004. When he first joined, my schedule was changing frequently and Shayne was very flexible in meeting my daycare needs. Shayne also took the time to work with my son to help him feel comfortable in his new surroundings and all of my schedule changes. She has been very reliable and continues to work with me so that we both can meet my sons needs.

As a preschool teacher myself, I feel comfortable knowing my son is in good hands while I'm at work. She uses a curriculum that is adaptable for all age groups.

To Whom It May Concern:

Shayne has a warm and inviting home. She has endless love for kids. She is very
patient with them. They do art projects, sing, dance, and play play play! I would always trust Shayne to watch my daughter.

To whom it may concern,

You know your child will be well taken care of and loved in Momma Bear’s Family Day Care. My son (Name Withheld) has been attending MBFDC since he was about 8 months old. My ex-husband and I looked high and low for a day care we felt could be a home away from home for our little (Name Witheld). After looking at the most over priced day cares that were non-stimulating for children, we happened upon MBFDC.

The moment we met Shayne we felt at home with her. Her laid back manner and friendly professionalism was a relief. Her home had stimulating toys and exciting colors. Shayne’s philosophy on working with children matched our own. But what was really the clincher for us was the way that (Name Withheld) reacted to her. He ADORES her.

If my parent testimonial isn’t enough, let me give you my professional opinion. I am a social worker who has spent many years working in child welfare. I have seen the best and the worst of people and people who work with children. When I go into a day care setting I not only look at it from a mother’s perspective but also from a social worker perspective. Most day care providers I met with seemed very nervous once they realized I was a social worker. It always struck me that these day cares were out of compliance with something. Usually, when looking around the house. I would find things that I didn’t like (the center was grungy, the toys weren’t educational, the kids were placed in front of a TV, there was nothing that would stimulate developmental growth, etc) but Shayne had no issues what so ever. She is a smart and well-educated woman in the field of child development, always looking for the best for the children to learn with and from.

I adore MBFDC. I live in Martinez and work in San Francisco. Even with the 1.5+ hour commute each day; I will go out of my way to take (Name Withheld) to MBFDC in Clayton. You receive your money’s worth and more importantly, I feel like I have piece of mind leaving my son in capable hands where he will be safe and stimulated to learn and socialize.
